Signs of Sleep Apnea

sleep-apnea-3Because episodes of sleep apnea happen when you’re asleep and unconscious to the world, you may not know you are even choking and gasping at certain times during the night. But if you notice certain symptoms, they may be a sign you have sleep apnea:

  • Feeling tired throughout the day
  • Inability to fall asleep without medication
  • Waking with headaches in the morning
  • Difficulty concentrating
  • Difficulty with remembering things
  • Feeling depressed
  • Increased blood pressure
  • Decreased sex drive

The above symptoms are unpleasant to live with, but they tend not to be life threatening. Keep in mind, however, that sleep apnea can lead to severe outcomes such as heart attacks and strokes, which is why it’s important to take signs of sleep apnea seriously.
